“Mindfulphotojourney” heißt das Projekt unseres heutigen Studiogastes Erik Rulands. Es geht hier nicht um die klassische Modelfotografie mit der perfekten Ausleuchtung, sondern um ehrliche, emotionale Bilder mit dem Mädchen von nebenan und die sollten, wenn es nach Fotograf Erik Rulands geht, am besten keine Vorerfahrung haben.
Die Shootings laufen dann ein bisschen wie ein Blind Date, man sieht sich zum ersten Mal, redet viel und lernt sich kennen. Manchmal über Stunden hinweg, sodass das eigentliche Shooting schon fast in Vergessenheit gerät. Im Gespräch wird sehr deutlich, dass es Erik nicht um das perfekte Ergebnis geht, sondern darum, dass die Bilder eine Geschichte erzählen.
Marc Ludwig from FotoTV approached me in 2019 after he found a post of my project in a Facebook Group. I was really happy to see that my project and what I do is actually relevant. So I committed to do the interview and it was a great talk about how to take photos of normal people and how to make them comfortable and connect with them.
